Was talking to a pal of mine and she said something that set me off thinking..

(reproduced - not in exact words)

with regards to my attitude towards something,

I said: "I'm easy."

She said: "You're NOT easy. Because of what they are, you expect nothing but the best from them. And when they don't reciprocate, you can't be easy even though you want to."
